Job requirements:

PhD in Robotics, Mechatronic engineering, or related fields of study from either a local university, or a non-local university among the top 100 institutions for the relevant subject.
Be legally permitted to work in Hong Kong.
Strong mathematical/analytical foundation with excellent understanding of the practical applications of 3D maths and linear algebra.
Strong understanding of Matlab, C#, and other high level programming languages.
Experience working with Unity, or similar 3D engines.
Experience working with robotic actuation, e.g. motors, motor drivers, encoding and closed-loop control.
Experience in handling medical images (DICOM), including image segmentation and registration is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Native Cantonese speakers are preferred.

4. PhD Candidate

Mechanical design and experimental verification for image-guided medical robot.
Real-time/intra-operative medical imaging processing.

Requirements:

Background in automation, electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science etc. are expected.
Demonstrated research experiences in robotics would be a plus (e.g. good publication record or equivalent experiences).

Applicants interested in hardware development:

Proficiency in mechanical design using 3D model softwares (e.g. Solidworks/ ProE/ CATIA/ UG).
